November 3rd and November 10th have been very exciting days. The Thrill of It All by Sam Smith and Red Pill Blues by Maroon 5 came out with new albums and on November 10th, Taylor Swift came out with an album called Reputation. Everyone is going crazy, but do you really know about the album?
Sam Smith is from London and came out with his first album May 26, 2014. He made a breakthrough in 2012 with his song “Latch” and has been doing pretty good with his songs since. His new album, “The Thrill of It All”, has gotten mediocre reviews. The Independent, Rolling Stone, and The Daily Telegraph gave the album a ⅘. He has just recently told Rolling Stone that he will be doing a North American tour starting June 18th in Toronto. On August 22, Sam Smith will be going to the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City with tickets starting at $32! There are 10 songs in the standard album and 14 in the deluxe.
Now all the talk since the school year started has been on Taylor Swift’s new “Reputation” album. She started in 2006 and was a cute little country singer. Over the years, she’s developed a rebellious feature and this new album is letting it all out. She first released her single “Look What You Made Me Do” in August and there are 15 songs in the album. This album is guessed to be targeted toward all her beef with Kanye West, Kim Kardashian West, and Katy Perry. She started advertising this when she deleted everything on social media and started posting mysterious pictures and videos of snakes and giving hints on her new album. She’s doing a tour, but has not yet giving the dates or locations yet.
Maroon 5 is from Los Angeles and started this big career in 1997 with their album named The Fourth World. Now, flash forward to November 3,2017, and they released Red Pill Blues consisting of 10 songs and haven’t done too good review wise. Slant Magazine gave the album a ⅖ and metacritic gave the album a 61/100. They have confirmed that they are doing a Red Pill Blues tour in North America starting May 30, 2018 and while be coming to the Vivint Smart Home Arena on September 7, 2018 with tickets starting at $46.50.
