Ski season is coming soon, maybe sooner than you think. The Summer of 2017 was the hottest in recorded history in Salt Lake City with an average temperature of 90 degrees in July. The minimum temperature in Salt Lake in September was 40 degrees which is just 8 degrees away from freezing and it was definitely colder up at the resorts. The seasons changed so fast that it feels more like late November than mid October. This means ski season is soon so it's time to start thinking about what resort to get a pass for. Some resorts are opening right before Christmas, while others are opening as early as November 17th. Snow has already started falling in the peaks, so Brighton which has their opening date set as “as early as possible” will probably be opening sooner than you'd expect. These are the opening dates for all the ski resorts in Utah. Be safe and happy skiing!
